May 12 Ice Dyeing Yarn Zoom Workshop
This workshop is designed for those who wish to learn more about the ice-dyeing method, process, and variables. Following powerpoint, I will do a live demo of my tub ice dyeing on a pre-wound warp and review the washing process. Participants have the opportunity to ice-dye their own pre-wound warps of tencel or cotton to work with color palettes of their own choosing or use one of my color palettes. Participants then have a 30 minute opportunity to ice-dye 1 to 3 pre-wound warps during this 11am to 4 pm EST workshop. Using ice-dyed warps in weaving with respect to a NEW Deflected Doubleweave draft will be discussed by providing three different ways to use them in the draft according to color and value. A supply list will be emailed 24-48 hours after registration confirmation. If you are not signed up to receive news and updates from my website, please go to home page and scroll to bottom to sign-up.
