Exploring Mixing Fibers in Stairstep Deflected Doubleweave and Pleats
My weaving notes explore this basic 8 shaft deflected doubleweave draft including dye colors and how I approach color to rotate the warp yarns in and out across the threading. Two different treadling patterns are included with possible substition fibers. Shuttle Diving is explained for each treadling. Finally learn how changing the tie-up can used to weave pleats in Woven Shibori. I like to think of it as one threading to produce three woven textural effects!
