Deflected Doubleweave 8 Shaft Focus
Sunday-Monday, February 26-27, 2023 10am-4pm EDT
Learn how to understand the nature of deflected doubleweave structure, the interaction of color, design, and finishing. Space is limited for this interactive workshop! A thirty-eight page Workshop Monograph, pdfs, and WIF files are provided following successful registration via email. Explore two different drafts in the Workshop Monograph which I refer to as “Brocade” or “Crackle” with live demonstration and discussion during the workshop. For optimal learning, participants should plan to warp their loom prior to the workshop using WIF files in order to sample during Day 1 of the workshop. Additional topics covered include during Day 1 include weft-handling options and sample washing finishing. Day 2 focuses on on a sample study and modifications with feedback followed by additional weaving. weavers can weave at their own pace as it is not necessary to complete your handwoven by the end of Day 2! There are also different short teaching and demonstration videos to prepare you!
