Zoom Workshop August 27, 2022
Deflected Doubleweave 4 Shaft Focus
Saturday, August 27, 2022 10am-4pm EDT
Learn how to understand the nature of deflected doubleweave structure, the interaction of color, design, and finishing. Space is limited for this interactive workshop! A twenty page Workshop Guide, pdfs, and WIF files are provided following successful registration via email. Five different drafts using similar threading blocks are explored in the guide with live demonstration and discussion during the workshop. For optimal learning, participants should plan to warp their loom prior to the workshop using WIF files in order to sample during the workshop. Additional topics covered include a '“subtle” clasped weft, weft-handling options and many color tips on using painted warps. There are also three different short teaching and demonstration videos to prepare you!
